Welcome to the first edition of our cyber ShortStop newsletter.
It’s been quite a while since
an issue of the ShortStop newsletter has been published
so we have quite a lot of catching up
to do.
First of all, our little Short family, with staggered
arrival, has been living in Guam since last
year. Will reported on board the USS Frank Cable,
stationed in Guam, in June of ‘97,
JoAnn and Danny followed in late September, setting up
house in October, and Will Jr. has
finally joined us in October of this year.
Life on Guam has been anything but dull. From the
typhoons to travel opportunities to
experiencing the various Micronesian cultures, we all
have grown from our experiences here.
We each have a page where we can fill you in on what's
been happening in our lives.
1999 will be another hectic year for us with Will's transfer to his new duty station in Mechanicsburg, PA. Another move for the family and we haven't even gotten all the boxes unpacked from our last move. Another school for Danny. Will Jr. has decided to apply to San Diego State University, hopefully he'll be attending SDSU in the Fall. We hope that when we return to the mainland, we will have more friends and family come visit us. We've missed you all!
Well, we hope that you and yours have a wonderful holiday season. Remember that although we're living a world away, we always have our family and friends in our hearts and in our minds.
We Love You!
Will, JoAnn, Will Jr., & Danny
